Corrections are the most useful correspondence this desk receives, and the most welcome.
The kinds of note that change a page: a citation pointing at the wrong study; a figure transcribed incorrectly; a finding described in the wrong species; a newer trial that supersedes something summarised here; or a reading of a paper that overstates what the paper actually concluded. Any of those will be checked against the source and, where the source supports the correction, the page will be amended.
Notes that identify a specific page and a specific sentence are acted on fastest. Where a correction concerns a numbered reference, quoting the number shortens the round trip considerably.
Correspondence about the literature is read on its merits regardless of who sends it, and a disagreement about interpretation is welcome even when it does not end in a change.
What this desk cannot answer
Some questions arrive regularly and cannot be answered here, and it is fairer to say so plainly than to reply with a disclaimer.
